AUXSARDET at Lake Anna

Lake Anna Search & Rescue Detachment (AUXSARDET) The AUXSARDET’s primary function is to provide assistance to boats in distress on Lake Anna. It is located adjacent to the dam at the southern end of the lake. During the summer boating months, the AUXSARDET supports water safety patrols conducted by members of Flotilla 87 and other flotillas in the area on weekends and holidays, typically between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

The AUXSARDET maintains a radio watch during these times, monitoring VHF-FM Marine Band Channels 9, 16, and 22. Boaters requiring assistance can also contact the AUXSARDET at 540-872-3741 or for routine matters via email at cgauxlakeanna@msn.com.
